Mentoring
I consider mentoring to be one of my most important and rewarding responsibilities. If you think I might be able to help mentor your development as a scientist, please reach out. Below is a list of my core strengths, but I can also provide guidance on topics outside of these areas.

Experiment Design
My engineering background has given me a broad toolset for the design and implementation of behavioral tasks in speech recognition and cognition. If you want to design or develop something similar to my work I would be happy to help you figure out how to do so. I mostly work in MATLAB and jsPsych + JATOS.
Data Analysis
I have experience with generalized linear mixed effects modeling and Bayesian data analyses applied to a variety of psychophysical, cognitive, and speech recognition experiments. I primarily work with R, Stan, and MATLAB. I believe that the statistical software that is available to you should not be a barrier to answering your research questions.
Communication
Clear communication of your objectives and findings is vital to advancing your career and ensuring your work has an impact on the field. I have experience designing figures and presentations to effectively convey ideas and networking with other scientists to share my ideas.

I have mentored for the ASHA MARC program. It's really well structured and provides a great opportunity to meet other people in our field.
Ear and Hearing Reviewer Training Program
I am the Reviewer Training Coordinator for Ear and Hearing. The goal of this program is to train early career professionals to provide the high quality reviews that contributors expect and to expand the pool of reviewers that the journal can call on.
